Every location is different and depending on the access to water and the structure under the water will determine what the dock system needs to be. Options include floating or stationary set ups. Constructed with wood or aluminum framing. Decking options are brown pressure treated, western red cedar or composite. A site visit will answer these questions and then a quote can be provided.
Docks Options
We custom build all wood floating docks here at our retail location Broadbent’s Home Hardware Building Centre. We sell and install aluminum frame docks from our supplier FENDOCK. Please visit their website to view options.
We use two float suppliers, which provide a vast selection of float styles and sizes to handle your dock needs. TECHSTAR floats provide different options from traditional underneath mounted floats to bumper floats that cover the outside frame and wheel floats that can give you the ability to pull your dock out of the water. MULTINAUTIC floats offer many size options that handle large floating docks.
Dock Hardware & Accessories
We supply a large selection of dock hardware and accessories from our suppliers DOCK EDGE and MULTINAUTIC. Please view the options on their websites. We stock a large selection at Madoc Timber Mart.
Pressure Treated Dock Lumber
Lumber options are Micro-Pro Sienna Treated Wood which is an environmentally preferable treatment process. Very similar to cedar in looks. Red Cedar is available as well. Cost is more. Composite options are available to finish your dock too. Once again costs will be higher. The majority of our customers choose micro-pro sienna for looks, durability and economics.
